The 2011 IGFA Offshore World Championship brought 59 teams and 282 anglers from more than 25 countries to the beautiful destination of Cabo San Lucas Mexico.

May 9th News Release: Fifty Nine teams headed for the fabled Cabo San Lucas marlin grounds hoping to have a successful first day of fishing in the 2011 IGFA Offshore World Championship.

The Championship kicks off today with the angler registration check in. A final count of 59 teams from 25 Countries was welcomed by the tournament Committee lead by the staff of Marlin, Sport Fishing and Salt Water Sportsman magazines.

A total of 178 anglers traveling from 19 countries gathered at the tip of Mexico’s Baja this May to compete in the 2010 IGFA Offshore World Championship.
